About Pacific Railway Enterprises, Inc.

Pacific Railway Enterprises, Inc. (commonly referred to as P.R.E., pre, and sometimes PACRAIL), in operations since 1994, provides an array of services to our clients. PRE's staff have amassed an impressive accumulation of railroad communications and signal expertise in the areas of railroad freight, light rail, commuter and transit signal design, inspection, construction management and maintenance services. PRE was formed to provide signal and train control design and inspections services for railroads and agencies located in the state of California.

PRE's headquarters are located in downtown Riverside within driving distance to the clients we initially focused on. PRE's combined facilities amount to approximately 12,500 square footage.

PRE utilizes current technology and services to ensure data is secure and readily available to users, in order to produce the highest level of professional output.

PRE was one of the first engineering consultants to identify the need early on to provide our clients a method and means to look inside the "black box" and assure them they were receiving designs of the highest quality possible. To accomplish this, PRE invested in simulator software which we utilized to bench test safety critical application logic utilized in microprocessor based interlocking systems. To take this a step further, PRE invested in the purchase of actual microprocessor hardware which is used to verify that the software produces the intended results. This allows PRE to perform factory like testing allowing us to verify that the safety critical software code applications are correct and ready to enter revenue services.
