PRE is a DBE/SBE firm with a staff of experienced Transit and Rail professionals who have demonstrated exceptional expertise in signal and communications systems. PRE provides design and inspection services to transit agencies, light and heavy rail, commuter railroads, and Class 1 railroads, including but not limited to:
PRE is in constant contact with current and future clients throughout the industry. We are continually seeking out the best, most up to date methods to provide our clients with the services they require. PRE looks down the road at their "future" projects to assist them in identifying different skill sets and disciplines that will help them reach their goals. PRE's goal is to be "in-touch" with the rail industry and constantly seek out better means to provide optimal service to our clients. In the past, PRE has provided our clients with the following rail based signal system services:
PRE utilizes current technology and services to ensure data is secure and readily available to users, in order to produce the highest level of professional output.
PRE was one of the first engineering consultants to identify the need early on to provide our clients a method and means to look inside the "black box" and assure them they were receiving designs of the highest quality possible. To accomplish this, PRE invested in simulator software which we utilized to bench test safety critical application logic utilized in microprocessor based interlocking systems. To take this a step further, PRE invested in the purchase of actual microprocessor hardware which is used to verify that the software produces the intended results. This allows PRE to perform factory like testing allowing us to verify that the safety critical software code applications are correct and ready to enter revenue services.
