About Project

To improve accessibility for Coaster passengers, Pacific Railway Enterprises, Inc. designed an at-grade, pedestrian crossing that allows for a direct passenger route from the southerly Oceanside Transit Center parking to the Coaster Platform 3. This new crossing reduces the walking distance by 800’ as well as making a new direct connection between the Sprinter and Coaster platforms


Project Scope, Successes


    The work involved field surveys, site diagnostic meetings, design of the crossing and other civil elements and signal system for the new signal house and warning devices, preparing and processing a CPUC GO-88D application, communications design to relocate an IDF communication enclosure to improve visibility at the crossing, bid assistance, and design services during construction.
